ECHOES OF THE SWAN

A very quiet, shy girl and her family move to a new town and thus a new school. She is in middle school and she is bullied because of the looks and low self esteem personality. This continues into HS. The kids that did the bullying are of course, rich, beautiful, popular ETC.

She is so humiliated by the bullying that she leaves crying and vows her revenge.

When she gets home, her parents are sill up and after finding out what happened, and how she wants to 'hurt them all' and get her revenge, her parents have a very stern but kind talk to her.

Romans 12:19 and Deuteronomy 32:35 "It is mine to avenge, I will re pay." Says the Lord. Telling her it is not her place and to take the upper hand and 'don't step down to their level of hurt.' Instead, be above it.

As she goes to bed, she says a deepfelt, heartful, tearful prayer of pain and hope.

Life goes on as usual but she wonders when her prayers are going to be answered. As she learns from her parents (and church) that its Gods timing and not hers.

Eventually she graduates from HS and college. She gets into a very rewarding career. And become very wealthy, independent, and beautiful.

Fast forward 10 years and she gets a HS reunion invitation. At first, she goes to throw it away, but a friend that is with her encourages her to go.

At the reunion, no one recognizes her but she sure recognizes a few of them. When some of the 'bully's' find out (from her name tag) who it is and how successful and beautiful she is, she is the talk of the night, while they (the bullies) are not quite as beautiful and certainly not as successful.

As she leaves the reunion, she thanks God, for answering her prayers.
